This online liposome extruder is a high-throughput extrusion system developed to meet the large-scale GMP requirements of liposome production. The core extrusion plate is made of sanitary-grade 316L stainless steel that complies with FDA and GMP standards, containing laser-drilled micro-sized pores as membrane supports. This extruder can be integrated with manual pumps, electric pumps, high-pressure homogenizers, or air pumps, operating at pressures from 1500–5000 psi. It is mainly used in the homogenization of pharmaceutical-grade liposomes, emulsions, and nanoparticles, used with a track-etched filter membrane with pore sizes of 50–400 nm. This extruder can be used to produce formulations of doxorubicin, paclitaxel, amphotericin B, daunorubicin, cytarabine, vincristine, cisplatin, and econazole nitrate liposomes.
